Publishing for Muslims
Muslim readers represent an exciting new frontier: literate, engaged and passionate about their faith and the future. And growing in number too. But how can publishers, authors, marketers reach a “Muslim” audience? And what does it take for a publication to achieve success—being authentic and popular, when most books go one way or the other; either conveying an idealised version of Islam or denigrating Muslims as radicals who need to be enlightened. This seminar seeks to explore existing publishing opportunities for Muslims and the mistakes that industry insiders make when targeting them.
