Indonesia had just repeated its participation at Publishers’ Conference in Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2019. It is one of the most distinguished programs of the festival that reached its ninth year in 2019. It provides space for professionals from publishing companies all over the world to meet, establish content rights transaction, and share ideas through series of presentations delivered from qualified speakers from publishing industry background all around the world.

Di Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2019, Indonesia kembali berpartisipasi di Publishers Conference. Salah satu program paling penting di SIBF ini mencapai edisi ke-9. Tempat di mana para profesional penerbitan dari seluruh dunia hadir, saling jual beli hak terjemahan, bertukar ide lewat rangkaian seminar yang menghadirkan pembicara-pembicara yang mumpuni di dunia penerbitan.

It would be easy to answer the question twenty years ago:  some big publishers and book stores, several printing companies with sophisticated tools, bunch of well-known writers. They were influential stakeholders in the realm of Indonesian book ecosystem in the past. Each of them had the capacity to determine the standard quality of a work, book trend, readers’ tastes, and even, writers’ royalties.

Musik dan Tema-Tema Sosial Budaya Ditampilkan Delegasi Indonesia di Frankfurt Book Fair 2019 /web/articles/musik-dan-tema-tema-sosial-budaya-ditampilkan-delegasi-indonesia-di-frankfurt-book-fair

Salah satu acara khusus yang ditampilkan Komite Buku Nasional dalam Frankfurt Book Fair tahun ini adalah penampilan musikalisasi puisi dari Oppie Andaresta. Bersama dua musisi, Windy Setiadi (akordeon) dan Mochamad Yudha Wijaya (gitar), Oppie tampil di Open Stage Agora di komplek Messe Frankfurt tempat FBF 2019 berlangsung. Menampilkan lima lagu, Oppie tampil pada hari keempat FBF, 19 Oktober 2019. Kelima lagu tersebut merupakan bagian dari album musiknya, Baju Bulan, yang diproduksi Oppie pada 2018, dari karya puisi-puisi Joko Pinurbo.

Untuk memperkenalkan buku-buku yang dianggap layak untuk difilmkan, Komite Buku Nasional, Asosiasi Produser Indonesia dan Badan Perfilman Indonesia telah mengundang penulis dan penerbit untuk mengikuti seleksi. Sebanyak 147 proposal telah masuk dan mengikuti seleksi 2 tahap. Tahap pertama terpilih 30 karya yang telah dipamerkan di festival literasi Litbeat pada 2 & 3 September 2019 di Perpustakaan Nasional. Dalam seleksi tahap dua telah terpilih 10 karya yang akan mengikuti AKATARA IP Market: Pitching Forum “From Book to Screen”.
