Ni Made Purnama Sari was born in Bali, March 22nd, 1989, writes poetry, prose, and essays. She received several awards: Anugerah Hari Puisi Indonesia (National Poetry Award) 2014 for her poetry book entitled Bali-Borneo, and Second Prize in Indonesian Poetry Book Manuscript from the Jakarta Arts Council 2015 (entitled Kawitan or Ancestors and was published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama in 2016).

Her poetry was included in Pena Kencana Award (100 Indonesian Best Poetry) in 2007, Poetry Anthology "Couleur Femme”: Poems Indonesia-France (cooperation Alliance Française Denpasar and the Forum Jakarta Paris, 2010), etc.

She was invited to various literature festivals, such as Ubud Writers and Readers Festival (Bali, 2010 and 2016), Padang Literary Biennale (West Sumatera, 2014), Emerging Writers Festival (Melbourne, 2015), Salihara International Literary Biennale (Jakarta, 2015), Pasar Malam Literary Festival (Paris, 2016), etc.

She engaged and actively organized cultural events in Alliance Française Denpasar (2007-2008, as volunteer), Bentara Budaya Bali (2010-2013, as coordinator volunteer and curator assistant), Indonesiana TEMPO (2014-2016, as curator), and Komunitas Sahaja (2007 – now, as coordinator project). She also works as literature translator assistant, contributor, and editor.
