Reda Gaudiamo is a writer from Jakarta, Indonesia, who was born in 1962.

She wrote her first story when she was in the first grade, that she read for her parents after dinner time. But had her work published for the first time during her days as a French Literature student in the University of Indonesia. Later on she sent her works to national newspapers and magazines.

After graduated she worked as journalist, copywriter, and later became publisher for lifestyle magazines of international titles published in Indonesia such as Cosmopolitan, Prevention, InStyle, Martha Stewart Living, and More.

Her first book –Bisik-bisik (Whispers, EKI Press), a short stories collections made of dialogues, was published in 2004. Since then she published two more short story collection Pengantin Baru (Newly Wed, Editum, 2010) and Tentang Kita (About Us, Stiletto 2015). 

In 2012, she published her first children book, Na Willa (Aikon).  Followed by Meps, Beps, and I (2016)–a collaboration work with Soca Sobhita, her daughter, and Na Willa and the House in the Alley (2018). Both books were published by Post Press who reprinted Na Willa.

At the moment, Na Willa is going through a translation process. It will be published in English, by UK Publisher, Emma Press.

Reda is also well known as a singer/musician through the AriReda duo, whose poetry-inspired ballads have captivated audiences around Southeast Asia and Europe.

This residential program in UK will boost her new projects: new book and her very first solo album. Both will be released in 2019.
